YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP AT NORFOLK INDOOR SPORTS
Year #11 of our most popular summer sports camp. Our camp combines teaching fundamental football skills with super fun flag football gameplay!
Taught by current & former D1 football players from Old Dominion, Hampton, Norfolk State and more – our coaches are not only “football experts”, but are phenomenal teachers who are high energy, fun, creating a warm – welcoming atmosphere.
Campers are separated and play games by age and ability.
Camp is 100% non contact.
Parents can register for the whole week or just one day!

FOOTBALL CAMP INFORMATION
Dates: Monday June 23 – Thursday June 26 (Session 1)
Monday July 21 – Thursday July 24 (Session 2)
Time: 8:00am – 12:00pm (daily)
Drop Off: 8:00am – 8:30am
at Norfolk Indoor Sports Turf

CLASS DETAILS & PARENT INFORMATION
+ Students please bring / wear: athletic attire, football cleats (any kind), water bottle, youth football (if you have one). Equipment is NOT necessary
+ Norfolk Indoor Sports Turf
Has water fountains, 2 bathrooms, is indoors on field turf
+ Student Ages & Experience Level
Each class, students are separated, train, and play games separated by age & ability. Class is beneficial for beginners to advanced players. Class is CO-ED
+ Parents are welcome to sit, stay & watch at our facility. You do not have to 🙂
+ Weather is never an issue, all training is indoors on field turf
+ Norfolk Indoor Sports will provide daily snack with pretzels, chips, fruit & water.
+ Students CAN bring their own snack / drink for snack time, especially if students have specific dietary restrictions

8:55am – Agility & Footwork Focus
+ speed ladder, agilities, change of direction movements

9:20am – Football Skill Development
+ throwing & catching
+ running proper routes
+ teaching back pedal, coverage skills
+ running back, running with the football
9:50 – Water & Break
9:55am – Routes on Air
+ throwing & catching the route tree (teaching segment as well!)
10:15am – Camp Snack & Football 101 Overview
10:45am – Drill of the Day
11:00am – Flag Football Game #1

CAMP OVERVIEW
The purpose of this camp is to take students ages: 6 – 12 through a curriculum that builds base athletic movements, introduces sound technical football skill development, in a fun environment that also adds super fun flag football gameplay!
The purpose of our summer sports camps is to create an experience where our students learn new drills and skills to practice throughout the summer, are inspired by our D1 coaches and trainers, and have FUN – meeting new friends and colleagues!
