HAMPTON BASKETBALL TEAM
Starting this FALL (’24) / WINTER (2025) our company will be fielding a middle school AND junior varsity basketball team / program.
Read below – our team is designed for home school athletes looking for an alternative team to play on.
The purpose of this team & organization is simple: we are creating an OPTION for families looking for GREAT coaching, skill development throughout the year, on a competitive team, that incorporates faith based principles.
We will have three (3) separate try outs throughout the fall for both our middle school & JV teams, with training ALL fall, leading into December – February game schedule!

HAMPTON BASKETBALL PROCESS
We realize parents and athletes will have MANY questions regarding our team, coaches, facility, practice times, game schedule & more.
Here is the plan! We have developed a GREAT plan the last year to develop a timeline to have a phenomenal TEAM and experience for our two teams!
Our team will be training and practicing at Immanuel Baptist Church
69 Saunders Rd. Newports News, VA 23601 – only 6 miles from the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
Our company will be providing Speed & Agility PLUS Basketball Skills training all Fall & Winter starting September 1, 2024.
Starting NOW, parents can enter their “interest” (at no cost) in joining our team. Again, the PURPOSE of this team (both MS & JV), is to provide an OPTION for students looking for a team.
In September, we will start a series of 3 different “try outs” for students / athletes who do have a serious interest in joining our team / program.
If selected for our team, athletes will immediately join our practices starting October 7. Athletes who “try out” Oct 20th and are asked to join, will start our practices Oct 21. Finally athletes who “try out” November 17 and are asked to join, will begin with our program November 18.
Starting December 1, 2024 – our finalized team will begin FULL practices 2x times per week, beginning an 18 game schedule. Our hopes / goal is to play:
4 games in December (2024)
8 games in January (2025)
6 games in February (2025)
Our Middle School & JV teams will practice separately / play a completely different schedule. (FYI)
Again, the PURPOSE of this team, is to provide a GREAT coach, where our students are DEVELOPED. We do intend on fielding a competitive team! There will be a strong emphasis placed on sportsmanship and “competing with class”

FALL SPEED & AGILITY + BASKETBALL SKILLS
Starting this September 1, 2024 – we will begin speed & agility AND basketball skills training at our gym.
The speed & agility program will combine ALL ages, but the basketball skills training will separate MS & JV ages.
The purpose of the speed & agility + basketball skills training is to prepare ALL / ANY student for the upcoming basketball season.

HAMPTON HEAT – BASKETBALL TEAM COSTS
Our team is NOT funded by any school, organization, non profit ect.
Similar to travel or AAU: our coach, court time, uniforms, insurance and any other expenses will be included in the cost to “join” our team.
Our company goal: is to provide this opportunity at the lowest possible cost per family WHILE providing the best possible experience!
We will provide several different payment options for families to choose from!
We also plan on running two VERY successful fundraisers, again, to help drive down the cost per athlete as much as possible.
The “cost” per athlete, will NOT begin until November 1 (or when they officially join our team). So students who are asked to join our team in October, will train (for free) throughout October.
Only families / athletes who have made payments / payment commitments will be permitted to join our team.
