NTSA – MARCH 25 – DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT

The National Transgender Sports Association (N.T.S.A.) proudly presents: “the 2023 NTSA Dodgeball Tournament”.  Join us for some fun & fellowship as well as play dodgeball, corn hole, listen to music & vibe!  Open to transgender adults, family, friends and allies.  LGBTQ Youth Division available as well!

This super fun event will include a dodgeball tournament with two divisions for ages 17 and under, and 18+.  Event will also include a DJ, corn hole, food trucks – a social event gathering that individuals can register for even if they aren’t competing!

N.T.S.A. is a national sports association dedicated to providing safe, equitable, and inclusive sporting and fitness opportunities for all transgender people.

TOURNAMENT INFO 

Date:  Saturday March 25, 2023
Time:  11:30am – 2:30pm
Cost:  $100 per team or $20 per person
Teams:  Minimum of 5 players, max of 8 players per team
Individuals: $20 per person (placed on teams, info below)
Two Age Divisions:
Youth Division = Ages:  8 – 17
Adult Division = 18 years & older
Location: Norfolk Indoor Sports

Winnings: There is a $500 cash prize (same day) given to the winning team
Want to attend the event as a guest?  We will have a DJ with music, corn hole, food trucks, 360 selfie cam –> come join the fun, $5 per ticket

NORFOLK INDOOR DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT RULES

Very simple rules that create fast, fun, & competitive games.  Best of 3 games advance to the next round! 

Game play:  5 minute games OR first to 5 points
Tie:  At 5 minutes, if the score is tied, the team that scored first is awarded the win!
Advance:  Teams will play best of 3 games.  Winner advances to the next round
Players:  5 players start each contest
Teams:  Teams must have 5 players, but CAN have a maximum of 8
When registering a team, please list ALL team participants & “TEAM NAME” upon registration
Head Shots:  A head shot results in an OUT for the throwing team (no exceptions)

TOURNAMENT SET UP & BRACKETS

Upon registration, your team will be assigned a specific play time.  Please arrive 15 minutes early (minimum) for your game.  You do have a preference option on start time.  Being on time does matter.  If your team is even 5 minutes late for their game, it immediately results as forfeit (our tournament is very time sensitive).
If your team loses their best of 3 games, they are out of the tournament.  If your team wins, you will immediately know next game time (brackets)

TEAM OR INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION

Register as a TEAM or as an Individual!  Team registration is ONLY $100, where you can have up to 8 players on a team!
Don’t have a team?  No worries!  You can register individually, and we will place you on a team of 5 – 8 people!  Great way to join, play, have fun, meet new people & more!  Individuals will play equal time, and yes – still compete for the winning prize!

WINNING TEAM

Norfolk Indoor will award $500 cash to the winning tournament team (same day).  We will also take photos and post the winning team to our social media!
